Now that we have been approved we are ready to do what you and we have been waiting for - begin enrolling your students!
This newsletter is all about applications. Another newsletter will come out soon with information on all of the exciting things the founders and volunteers are doing to make the school a reality.
All students applying must attend an information session with at least one parent/guardian before the application will be accepted. See below for dates and times of these sessions. If this presents a hardship for your family please contact us for an alternative. See below for dates and times of these sessions.
Thank you to everyone who sent us congratulatory messages. After so much hard work it is great to be acknowledged. Also, thank you to everyone who has volunteered to join our Volunteer Action Teams.
Drop us a line if you have any questions or want to join one of our Action Teams.
And, as always, please forward this email to anyone you know who is interested in an alternative for middle and high school.
Go SBP!

Apply to SBP!
Applications available at the meeting
First deadline for applications is May 5, 2008
Other Meetings Coming Soon!
Please plan to arrive at 6:45 to allow time to sign in so we have record of your attendance. The meetings will begin promptly at 7:00.
These meetings are for students in grades 6-9 in the 2008-2009 school year.
Here's how you apply to SBP:
If you have been following SBP for a while you know that we are not a traditional educational model. We want all of our students and parents to understand the school that they are applying for. At these information meetings we will be presenting and explaining our mission, philosophy, values, educational program, policies, and parental and student expectations. Parents will be asked to complete an application and sign an agreement indicating they understand SBP's mission, philosophy, values, and educational program. This meeting is mandatory for both the student and the parent/guardian, applications will not be accepted from those students not attending the entire meeting.
Please forward this newsletter on to others who may be interested in applying to the school. You can use this link to forward this email to a friend.
