South Bay Prep Board
After many months of gathering information; writing and rewriting; adding, deleting, and rearranging; getting expert advice and reviews; and writing and rewriting some more, we handed our charter petition - over 400 pages of documents describing what is going to be an amazing school - to Dr. Rhonda Farber, Superintendent of Campbell Union High School District, after the CUHSD Board meeting on Thursday evening.

Thank you to everyone who signed!  The petition included 309 signatures from parents interested in having their 503 children attend South Bay Prep as well as 9 signatures from teachers interested in working at our school.  (We only needed 100 parent signatures OR 4 teacher signatures.)

Watch for an email soon to find out when our public hearing before the CUHSD Board will be!  It will be either Thursday, October 18, or Thursday, November 1, and we will let you know as soon as we find out, because it is very important to attend.  The public hearing is intended to gauge interest in the school, so we need to pack the room to show them the extent of the support for SBP.

Public Meetings Coming Soon
We will resume our public meetings soon so that those who have questions or want more information on South Bay Prep especially the EdVisions model, will have an opportunity to talk to Board members.  We hope to be able to bring Kathleen O'Sullivan, the National Director of EdVisions Schools, West Coast Office back again to make a presentation and give specific information on currently operating EdVisions schools.  Watch for an email giving dates and times of these meetings.
