Development Meeting – Monday, December 19th

The development committee will be meeting for the first time on Monday, December 19th at 6:00 in the coffee shop at the Borders Book Store in Santana Row.  The agenda for this first meeting includes creating a first draft development plan.  The development committee is responsible for writing the CDE Charter Development grant and fundraising for SBP.  The development meeting will be our last committee meeting before the New Year.  For more information contact Traci Tokhi at traci@lovingparenting.org.

And for fun, after the meeting, we are going to the movies!

Join us at one of our Public Information Meetings

One of the important tasks while forming a charter school is to make sure that the community has had significant opportunity to find out about the proposed charter school.  In this effort, South Bay Preparatory is holding monthly meetings at the Campbell Library (77 Harrison Ave. - Downstairs meeting room).

These meetings are an occasion for you to talk with the South Bay Preparatory board and have many of your questions answered.

Our goal is to bring the SBP mission to life for you, update you on our progress, talk about what the committees have been working on, and of course, encourage you to get involved.

Our next meetings are scheduled for:

Wednesday, January 11th

Tuesday, February 7th

The Education Committee has been working hard to make our mission real!

A few of the many questions that the education committee is answering:

§         What does an educated person in the 21st century look like?

§         How will South Bay Preparatory define success and how will we measure it?

§         How will South Bay Preparatory help struggling students meet our high standards?

The Ed Committee meets once a week on Wednesday evenings at Los Gatos High School - 20 High School Court in Room P8 from 7:00-9:00.  The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 4th.  Contact Mike Bollhorst - mbollhorst@lghs.net or Coleen Wagner - irishcoleen_w@yahoo.com to find out more.
